EVIDENCIA VERDAD Y DECEPCIÓN I Paintings
2019 - 2021
In his work 'Evidencia-Verdad-Decepción', Camilo Echeverri uses painting as a technique of appropriation, basing himself on/using photographs from a personal archive that he has been building over two decades. This personal archive constitutes an inventory of obsessions with which Echeverri seeks to question the veracity of images and their power to evoke and manipulate.

EL POZÓN I Debris island I 2021
My first impression was that the houses were too low from the street level, and I didn't understand why. Well, it turns out the island is sinking because it was built on debris, so they constantly have to elevate every surface with more material. This is El Pozón, an island crafted from leftovers.
THE WORLD IS FULL(ing) I 2018. - 2019

Sabotages I 2019
The architect's training, his work as a photographer, and the constant references to the history of photography are the lines that intertwine in the work of Camilo Echeverri, which focuses on creating visual devices from a keen sense of space. For this work, he mixes images of different characteristics. Analog and digital photographs, postcards, reproductions of archives, enlargements of negatives, and found objects are some of the sources that make up this corpus.

Women I 2009 I Fictions

This collection, initially for an MA project at London College of Fashion, evolved to explore the blend of dreams and real-life challenges. It examines the line between reality and fiction through various, independently created scenes. Some are obviously staged, others appear real but delve into digital realm topics, suggesting how technology reshapes our perceptions and blurs reality with fiction.
ES I book
ES, a project spanning from 2009 to 2020, offers an intimate and theatrical glimpse into the bodies of the women and men who were integral to my fashion commissions. These photographs represent an internal reaction to the countless poses and superficiality of the fashion industry that I have been exposed to over the years. By breaking away from the advertising pose, ES delves into a new reality, exploring deeper themes such as beauty, gender, and identity. This series captures the essence of the fast-paced and frenetic fashion industry while inviting the viewer to reconsider their assumptions about the people within it.
EL MORRO I food stories
el morro is a project of a Colombian-Latvian couple Camilo and Danija (@morro_homechef), orbiting around our interest in contemporary food staging and photography.
We also just really like food and pictures.
