el morro is a project of a Colombian-Latvian couple Camilo (@camilo_echeverri) and Danija (@morro_homechef), orbiting around our interest in contemporary food staging and photography.
We also just really like food and pictures. Every week, after brainstorming, discussing and a little planning, we get together in our home studio to experiment and play around a certain ingredient or recipe.
We started this routine with hopes to create unique and fun content.
Enjoy!

Herb coated labneh ballsStrained yogurt, Greek yogurt, yogurt cheese, sack yogurt, or kerned yogurt is yogurt that has been strained to remove most of its whey, resulting in a thicker consistency than normal unstrained yogurt, while still preserving the distinctive sour taste of yogurt. Like many types, strained yogurt is often made from milk enriched by boiling off some water content, or by adding extra butterfat and powdered milk.

This is a story on a classic- homemade pasta and meatballs. To start, it takes a pasta machine (or not! it can also be done with a roll and cutting the pasta by hand), 2 cups of flour, 3 eggs, a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil. Make it into a dough, cut into 4 equal pieces and roll out pasta sheets to then make whichever pasta you prefer!
